Can't seem to progress past where I am in my NG+, had no such problems on my first playthrough (Which was Emelita)

Anyway, info->Mission says "Talk to your friends": "To know more about Yuela you need to know more about the east. Talk to your friends, maybe you'll learn something."

However, no one is available to talk to. I've already completed her sword (Since it's NG+, store level is 10 and evaluation is 21735; so more than enough).

Under Info->Quest I have the following open:
* Clean Lake Shisetika (#29)
* Crayl's supplement (41#)
* Promise with an Angel (52#)
* Investigate the creature (64#)
* Substitute Shells (#65)
* Regroup and Reinforce (#86)
* Automatic Broom (#92)
* Soulseal Staff (#107)
* Shipwreck (#109)

For more or less all of those (aside from shipwreck), I'm fairly sure I can't progress further until the next chapter (??)- but if I'm wrong please tell me how to progress in them.

Did you carry over your character levels?

If not, make sure your characters are at the minimum required level to advance (see in the tips/tricks/useful information thread)

If you did keep their levels, look anyway, as maybe there are different requirements for the different storylines.

Or maybe you could try getting the Eushully characters with you (the Automatic Broom quest).

The quest says talk to your friends, but in a NG+, you have more friends than you did in the first playthrough. It's possible those count.

I transfered over levels, the lowest level character is level 31; which as far as I can tell is more than enough.

As for Eushully characters, I can't seem to find Cave trolls; they should be in Monster Nest, but i've waited for it to spawn 4 times now (as in, went in, left portals open till turn 39 as I killed everything that spawned), and so far not a single cave troll has spawned. So, I can't get Red Giant Skin. The alternate way would be getting some area unlocked through Crayl- but I can't seem to progress that storyline at this point (I think).

None of the party members or guests have any dialog open.

I've found the cause for this problem. Basically, I have 1 quest available in the plaza to go kill a level 90 (Erdgeist) which I simply can not yet do (Can't do more damage than he regenerates health).

Below this quest... I a quest to talk to yuela. Guess I'll just have to grind to hell and back until I'm high enough level to kill him... Or get bored of doing that and fail the quest.

There is a tactic that I would advice to you:
Choose 2 (or more) characters that have the most attack power and have combination attack from your team. Have Erdgeist or other difficult monster take place that let you surround him.
Now let's take Yuela, Serawi and Wil for example. Yuela and Wil will be attackers and Serawi will be defender. Placement of units will look somewhat like this:

Now the fun begins. Equip Serawi with both Yuela's and Wil's Guardian. That will protect them a little in case of Erdgeist turn. Equip both Yuela and Wil with respective Guardian skills, combination attack and skills boosting attack power (if someone have Double Action, then in first turn have it equiped, and in second change it for other skill). You'll need to prapare some Ether Potions, because combination attack draws SP from both characters. It worked quite good for me.
Of course characters here were only an example, so you need to chose ones from your team that would work best. Guardian skills are helpful though, especially when monster have low hp (prevail is deadly skill).

From what I could tell, Erdgeist takes less damage the lower his health is. I can bring him down from ~300 to 75, however after that even my combination attacks do no more than 1 damage. He heals roughly 25 hp every turn, and his speed is so high that I can never get more than 2 attacks per turn.I think it might be doable with the method you described if I grab a few more levels or a good weapon for Yuela/Wil that works on his weaknesses (Wind and Frost).

Anyway, gonna try do a clear of Sin Gate and perhaps do Shipwreck after that. Worst case scenario I end up bored; in that case however I'll still fight him because even if I have to withdraw after a while, I get quite a lot of levels in the process.

Ah Goctionni I see you are still looking for that elusive Red Giant Skin. In retrospect i'll remember not to reference a mob you may never have seen before. It really was my bad.

You won't ever find a Cave Troll spawning from a portal in Monster Nest. Treasure Puttetos spawn at the beginning of the map, meaning it might be initially there but it won't spawn from a portal. The Cave Troll on the Monster Nest is the same in that regard. So in order to find him you save, load up the map (don't bother deploying) look around and if you see him go murder his face off. If you do not, then reload and try again.

I think you need to be at a higher chapter for Crayl's thing btw.

Well I actually did just a minute ago What's more they've spawned from both portals in Monster Nest. It may be NG+ thing, but I don't think so.

He's in NG+ though . I keep breaking my "Never, ever say never" rule and have so far kicked myself twice for it. We'll pretend they have a similiar spawn rate that Rocket Punch has to drop (meaning.. good luck). He did say he's done 4 map restarts of waiting for it to spawn so a surefire method that's quicker would regardless make him happy.

Note to self: Obey "Never, ever say never" rule (ESPECIALLY around here).

I just did that quest chain. And as for Erdgeist, after a few tries (I try to avoid getting any characters killed this run), it proved simplest to only use two characters to take him down; Emelita(lvl99) to soften him up with Prism Blast, and Yuela(lvl81,IntimidateIII,PierceIII,) to finish him off with simply her Haishel sword...

Edit; The reward from Quetzalcoatl, Clothesline, why can't I find it in inventory?
I even replayed from an earlier save and defeated it again. and the reward screen shows up when entering workshop, with that item stated. But even at retry it doesn't seem to appear anywhere in inventory afterwards?

Same thing has happened once before, I remember getting Punching Bag from an arena battle. But couldn't find it anywhere afterwards. Thought I had just remembered wrong back then. But now's a second time?...

They are furniture, giving no merit.

Yes, I assumed they were furniture. The reason I asked was that none appeared in inventory, whether in furniture section, or outside of it.

Also, third furniture item that 'vanished', Lucky, obtained from a treasure chest in Runic Forest Ruins...

Nope, the last reward from this chain is Clothesline, which is a spear with 40 str, -3 speed, wind element and Intimidate II.

You mean there's more in this chain after this quest? And it ends with the item you described?

I thought it was the conclusion of the quest line, and had already started thinking I could just fail it. But I'd really like a strong wind mellee weapon, sooooo...

By last quest in this chain I mean quest number 117, where you kill Quetzalcoatl

Managed to kill Erdgeist after I got Yuela to 70

Is QUetzalcoatl much more difficult than Erdgeist?

In my opinion he's waaaay easier. Actually, I killed him before he could even attack me (Serawi and her 9 range skill).

Tried, succeeded There were actually 2 more bosses after Erdgeist. However the first only has 2 range and the second only 1 range; so it's very easy to kite as most characters have at least 1 attack with 3 range. Thanks
