Re: Moonlit Lovers English Patch 1.0b
from Chitose's route, "Something Nurtered" episodeTact wrote: You'll have another chance, please invite her again. She'll definitely go next time. Either "please invite her again" should be its own sentence, or you could put "so" in front of it so it'd be You'll have another chance, so please invite her again.Ranpha wrote: Yeah. I went to the space convenience store to buy a towel, but but it was cheaper to buy a whole set. Tact wrote: A towel...you mean all of this is just for a single towel!? Just how many pieces does this set have? Tact says "a single towel", but both Ranpha's and his own line refer to a set of towels. Ranpha has bought a big box full of towels, not a single enormous towel in a big box. Tact wrote: One, two, three four, five. Missing comma after "three". Chitose wrote: I have too much to write in my diary now, I'm not sure what to do. The sentence flows better if this is "so" instead of "too". from Chitose's route, "Angel Wing Assembled" episodeVanilla wrote: ...If you eat those two things, you will consume 6,00 kilocalories... I'm sure this is supposed to be "6,000". from Chitose's route, "The Great Calamity" episodeChitose wrote: When I look up at the starry sky like this, makes me remember... Missing "it" before "makes". from Chitose's route, "White and Black" episodeHyuuga wrote: Captain Karasuma should be alive.. He should have watched you grow up. The ellipses is missing a dot. from Chitose's route, "Angel Slap" episodeNoah wrote: Nobody said she be alone. Should be "she'd". I've completed all the routes now so this is almost certainly my last post for ML proof-reading.

Re: Moonlit Lovers English Patch 1.0b
Eesh.
Well, take it out on the previous editors.
As for other things, the Japanese plural is usually down to context, ie, every noun are generally mass nouns with no verbal modification differences between plural and singular, things like "an attack on a military installation" and "attacks on military installations" are written exactly the same (but could also be written differently so that they aren't). Both translations are technically correct, but you are right in that they should be consistent between them. I prefer multiple attacks, so changed the singular one.
Re: Mission Objective There's only even two possible lose condition images. One that says Elsior Destroyed/Time Expired and one for Elsior Destroyed (mission 6-1 I believe), so yeah. I haven't actually checked since I didn't keep a backup of the original gadat20 and am not going to do a fresh install just to check this, but I'm at least 90% sure it's an error in the original as well.
Re: Towel. Tact specifically says a single towel, so I read it as something like a bathroom set of which the towel was a singular part, not a set of 250+ towels. Added a little bit to clarify that.
Uploading stuff now. Will update when done.

Re: Moonlit Lovers English Patch 1.0c
on vanilla's route, black and white arc, vanilla takes noah on a tour around the ship, and one of the stops is the whale room, where vanilla introduces noah to the animals. The lines I think are incorrect are as follows: Quote: Vanilla: Petting him like this... helps ease his pain and sadness. Correction: Petting him like this... helps ease pain and sadness. Quote: Vanilla: His heart becomes warm. Correction: It warms your heart. Quote: Vanilla: And... we can heal these little ones hearts. Correction: And... these little ones can heal our hearts. The first 2 corrections are due to context. In the original language, the subject (his, ours, yours, etc) of easing pain and sadness is not stated, and must be infered from context (so getting it wrong is understandable). The context becomes clear in later lines, as vanilla talks about how her nanomachines can treat injuries but not hearts, as well as how the cook, the doctor, and the animals help people in different ways. This is clear in the 3rd correction, which is originally voiced as: "kono ko-tachi wa watashi-tachi no kokoro yashite kuremasu", which doesn't look like it should be translated as "And... we can heal these little ones hearts". It appears that whoever translated these lines presumed from the earlier lines, that people healed the animals' hearts by petting them. However, I think it makes more sense from the context that the lines meant to say that people's hearts are healed when they pet the animals. furthermore, later in the story, in the same arc, when noah explains the negative chrono wave, chitose correctly understands the concept of countering the said wave, and noah says: Quote: Noah: Why bother talking if you don't understand? In short, yes. Correction: Oh? There is someone here who understands after all. In short, yes. It is voiced as: "nanda hanashi wakaru (mono? This part is voiced too soft to tell) iru ja nai?"

They're included in the same patch. Did you ever try downloading the patch before? It's 346 MB for a reason.

ah thats why it said to use the other one if possible...(why did i ignore that?) edit: no wait, the one i used has same mb...which files are for the movies? edit2: okay wait...vanilla's movies have subs, mint's don't, and the ones under "other scenes" don't...as doesn't the required first movie for chitoste...hm...perhaps the subs simply didn't appear on anything i put into the gallery the first time through?...and continue to not have subs...after seeing them in the second time through...perhaps if i clear the gallery data, and re-unlock them? nope that didnt work...all i can say is that they dont have subtitles...hm oh and on a side note during the first fight where you have all the angels, ranpha says "Now that the whole angel wing's together" there shouldnt be an apostrophe before the s in wings

That more so sounds like a problem on your end, not the patch.

CRC32 for MoonlitLoversEng_v1.0c.zip : 02a93120 Downloaded it from games.seiha.org not from Megaupload, and everything works fine. Check for CRC32 on the file you've downloaded. Edit: To check for CRC32 on the file, please visit http://www.febooti.com/products/filetwe ... h-and-crc/

Re: Moonlit Lovers English Patch 1.0c
in the angel slap arc, tact and his chosen angel meets lester on the way to a strategic meeting. During the conversation, lester says: Quote: Lester: Yeah. We need the Final Weapon before the enemy's main force arrives... This is the big fight. Correction: Yeah. Will Final Weapon be ready before the enemy's main force's attack? At this point, it's a race against time. Voiced: Ah. Teki wa hontai semete kuru ga saki ka? Kesen heiki dekiru nara saki ka? Korekara wa, jikan no shoubu. after the strategic meeting, tact and his chosen angel are told to stay behind, and in the ensuing conversation, noah says: Quote: Noah: Honestly. You're not paying attention at all. Listen to me. while my japanese is not good enough to tell from the voiced part what the exact literal meaning of the original words used, the above quote seems wrong in context. It should probably be: Honestly, I can't stand watching this. I'll break the news to them. I'm not that confident in this correction, but it seems more appropriate from context. The context was, everyone was reluctant to tell tact that his chosen angel has to go on a near suicide mission on the final weapon, so noah told them. On chitose's route, after the final battle, ranpha says: Quote: Ranpha: Geeze, Chitose. What's she doing? Did she leave already? Correction: Geeze, Chitose. What's she doing? We should have left already!the context being the angels waiting for chitose, who hasn't arrived. I believe "mou saki ni ichau wa yo!" is better translated as the latter than the former. Another one in milfie's feelings arc, coco and almo says in a conversation on the bridge: Quote: Coco: Hmm. I guess. Actually, we've never seen that... Correction: Hmm. I guess you're right. Perhaps, unbeknownst to us... it's not an exact translation, but the english meaning fits the context better. They were gossiping about how tact and milfeulle might have an advanced relationship that they don't show in public. It's voiced as "mm, sou ne. jitsu wa watshi-tachi miteinai tokoro de..." I think actually hearing it voiced makes the intended meaning clearer. Quote: Almo: Now, now, don't play dumb. Didn't you decide on Milfeulle? Correction: Now, now, don't play dumb. We're obviously talking about you and Milfeulle!again, not an exact translation, but in meaning it fits the scene better. Voiced as "mata mata, tobokenai de kudasai yo! Milfeulle-san no koto kimateru ja nai deska!" The context being almo grilling tact about how far his relationship with milfeulle has progressed. Again, I'm aware this is not how the words would be translated if done literally, but I believe this is the intended meaning after hearing the words voiced. Further in the conversation: Quote: Almo: But that's not the same as true love. Correction: But... That's not how I thought love would be like...in this case almo is talking about how tact's relationship with milfeulle differs compared to the 'ideal' love that she imagines. She is not making an absolute statement about whether tact's love is true or not. Voiced as "demo, watashi no risou no koi to wa zutto chigau ka na?" Near the end of milfeulle's feeling arc almo says at milfeulle's welcoming party: Quote: Almo: Awwww. Fine. As long as Commander Mayers and Milfeulle are happy. Correction: Awwww. I'm envious... Commander Mayers and Milfeulle look so happy. the former is better interpreted if only the text is seen. However, from the context and the voice inflextions in the actual scene itself, the latter was the intended meaning. It's voiced as: "Aw... ii na... maiasu shirei to miyufiuru-san shiawase sou de." "ii na" in this case is an expression of envy, and not meant to convey the literal interpretation of something being good or fine. In the scene almo drags the "a" part, so it sounds like "ii naaaa". She also never mentioned that they looked (mieru) happy, because it's understood from the voice and scene itself. In other words, the latter meaning is strongly implied in context, and is pretty impossible to see just from reading the script itself. In ranpha's route, shortly after joing the rest of the angel wing, forte says: Quote: Forte: He's the same guy now. Correction: Yet now she's going "Tact this, Tact that". voiced as "sorede ima ja takuto takuto damo ne?" Forte is not saying that tact is the same person now. She's teasing ranpha about her past (tsun) reaction to tact with her current (dere) reaction to tact. While they celebrate the reunion of the angel wing, forte says this in reaction to ranpha's story about tact: Quote: Forte: Come on, even if you say it's true, that... Correction: See? Even Mint says that it can't be tru...voiced as "hora miro. minto date honto date...", at this point forte was still expecting mint to agree with her that ranpha's story is unbelievable. That's why just 1 line later, she is shocked when she realizes that mint was saying the opposite. If the japanese voiced line were continued, it would probably have been "hora miro. minto date honto date (arienai desho?)" Again, it's difficult to translate this line accurately without seeing and hearing the actual scene. In ranpha's route, in ranpha's card battle with noah, noah says: Quote: Noah: That move? It's useless trying to shake me with some some words. I believe there's an extra some here.

SUPER SLOW IN CORRECTING AND RESPONDING
But
I blame Hikago and the other editors. --shifty eyes--
You're also exposing my cover for not actually playing through again to make sure everything lined up right. Oh well. My Japanese needs the occasional chaperoning after I decide to work late at night anyway.
Fixes being uploaded.

From Chitose's route 2nd Chapter "Something Nurtered"
When you save data during this 2nd chapter the saved chapter title is "Troublesome Rookie" and not "Something Nurtered".
"Troublesome Rookie" is the chapter title for the 1st chapter of Forte's route.

During Forte's route, Chapter 1, the perfume Forte was using has been translated into "Shanad #5".
Going from previous game's translation, it was translated as "Chenard #5"
Just a heads-up.
