Hello,
I am having a problem in Kamidori Alchemy Meister, I've been trying to fix this since I got it but I can't seem to find where it lies in.
It's nothing game breaking like errors, but it does break the feeling of the game, I think it lies in my Computer since my brother and a friend of mine don't get this problem.
The problem lies in the font of the game, It uses half of the space it has and most letters are squeezed together.
Here is how it is: (i hope the image loads right)

your Font seem to be fine..
I never use applocal, i have my pc-settings already changed so it's located in japan, and I rarely change it.

I've just checked and my Computer's settings for regions are all in japanese; I don't know if it's because my Pc is Windows Xp that i have to do something extra but most japanese games that i play don't get this kinda problem..
I'll try to download AppLocale and start to see if it changes something.

Edit: I can't seem to get it on xD. i seem to already have it but i can't use it

you can't use applocale unless you got this (what's in the red rectangle)

If you got the part that says
"Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode programs you want to use:" and selected is Japanese, then you are running in Japanese local settings.
To me, it seems like your problem with Kamidori is that the game doesn't see Japanese characters, therefore you need to run in Japanese locale or use applocale. Applocale can't be used if you don't have support for Japanese language already installed.

And since you said you can't run applocale, that means you don't have Japanese language installed.

Ps, I'm also using XP, to lazy to move on. And the game works fine.

The settings are corrent, if they weren't i don't think i could have played any other game that i've played yet
I'll try to redownload Applocale and try again

I've run Kamidori with Applocale but it still didn't do anything, the fonts are still like they were without...

When you installed the game, you already had Japanese local settings?
some games need that at the start to install properly....

otherwise, no idea.

I did have it on japanese, since it wont install if I don't
I even reinstalled it over 5 times the first time to see if it could fix it, that was now over 6 months or so ago,
and before i made this thread I reinstalled it again. (saved my save-datas since i don't want to lose my saves xD)

From the picture posted by Zerovi near the top of the thread.
I used MS Word to write some text using Japanse locale with the fonts as shown and then went back to English locale.
These fonts seem to be MS Gothic and MS Mincho.

For WindowsXP they should be in \Windows\Fonts
MSGOTHIC.TTC ~8MB - MS Gothic & MS PGothic & MS UI Gothic (TrueType)
MSMINCHO.TTC ~9MB - MS Mincho & MS PMincho (TrueType)

They should also show up in the registry here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts


Do you have these fonts installed on your PC?
