Was running through the flavor text for some furniture/items and ran across the good old Chrono Trigger Enertron reference.

The Hibernation beds item has the description, "...But, they still leave you hungry"

The Cactus Figure "Has exactly 1,000 needles" No guesses needed here, good old FF Cactuars and their well known 1,000 needles skill.

The Rocket Glove weapon is pretty much a staple of any old Super Robot style series, the most popular probably being Mazinger Z.

Although it's a bit harder to figure out, I like the "A Certain Railgun" furniture, with the description "Attracts frogs for some reason".

Bear in mind that all the flavour was put in by Aroduc because of epic fail on Eushully's part (see post for why).

Personally, I think Aroduc has done an amazing job - after reading his translation notes (and admittedly not knowing Japanese and thus being unable to play the game as it was originally), it looks like he's actually made the game better. You can't ask for more, really.

No, most of the references are actually there in the original game.

Fruit Box: Not for espionage.
Broom: Does not have a hidden sword.
Majong table: Try to win with a Rinshan Kaihou.
Magic Mirror: Don't take advice from mirrors.
Wonder Kitchen: For a true Iron Chef.

The Broom one I couldn't find, it's some reference to some old anime that I can't find. Could be Lupin III, but... I don't think that's it. Majong might be from Saki, but that might be over-analyzing it.
