anyone got a source for wallpapers that are
- high res
- Milfie, Ranpha, Chitose only
- FIT ON A 16:9 SCREEN (and short of screencaps that's hard to find for any japanimation)

You could try buying a copy of "Galaxy Angel EX." It's mostly a collection of minigames, the goal being to earn enough points to unlock wallpapers. Then there's a function in the game that allows you to set one of the wallpapers you earn as your own wallpaper.

Galaxy Angel EX only provides SD resolution wallpapers, with the width/height ratio of 4:3.

I suggest the OP to visit sites that provide wallpaper galleries, or image boards. Angel-Tai.com or Minitokyo would be a good first step.

it is anoying that all the awesome artwork will never fit on a modern screen, not to mention all "wallpapers" are 1024x768, ie less than i've used at any point this century. for reference i used this pic for quite a while fitted to my old 16:10 laptop:
