I probably messed up during the installation though I'm pretty sure I followed the thing entirely, but when I start a new game it'll close in like a minute or two and give me an error report so I can't watch the video, and when I click on it to skip, it'll close and give me the same error report. |

Try switching the non-Unicode language to Japanese. It should be under Control Panel's Regions and Languages section. |

re non-unicode, hogwash. you need it for the installer and some display prettyness - which is offset by the system otherwise looking ugly, but the game may as well run on klingon settings. best bet would be either a horribly botched patch, or some odd driver problem. for the former, compare the dat/ directory with what's in the patch file. for the latter you're on your own. maybe you forgot the 1.10 update, i don't think the game would even start though. |
