Yeah, we probably don't want a constant connection to there, as, if there is any sort of leak, we would have an endless nuclear explosion rapidly encompassing our universe...which would be...problematic, to say the least...
Maybe if we route it through another universe, and have the whole generator there, and turn off the connection each time before we collect the power...

While science could probably get us more exact entry coordinates, magic doesn't pose the threat of accidentally nuking our entire universe...(so we went with the less efficient, but safer method)

You can use a better spell suited for inter-dimensions then.

For science, you need energy which isn't unlimited.

I can always regenerate mana anyday and do what i want with mana (can't carry more than 50 different ways to attack someone with science, can you?).

Not when we use Seithr for our science, as Seithr is an unlimited energy source, your mana runs out, Seithr doesn't. So until I have no more use for Seithr, I'll use it to power my experiments.
