Re: Cult Of Mint Recruitment Post mk2
Shōjo means little woman, mainly to do with emotions or the like, things like cardcaptor sakura. Shōnen means young person I believe, and is mainly things like dragon ball z or death note, which seem to centre on violence. I prefer Shōjo manga.

Re: Cult Of Mint Recruitment Post mk2
Shoujo more accurately means teenage girls, mostly deals with love stories.
And Shounen is directed for teenage boys, it's why most of the stories are violent.

Re: Cult Of Mint Recruitment Post mk2
Technically, the literal means little woman. 10-18 year olds. and i know that Shōnen means young something. for 10-18 year olds again.

Re: Cult Of Mint Recruitment Post mk2
「少」 Little + 「女」 woman = 少女 (girl)
Sometimes, a kanji doesn't represents a word.

I did know that, I just prefer literal. It confuses people.

Re: Cult Of Mint Recruitment Post mk2
As said. I'd use non-literal translations when not trying to confuse people. and I guess it does.
Know any good comedy/Shōjo or magical girl animes? please inform me. but no shōnen I did my stint with the whole shōnen style thing. Personally, the emotion that shōjo brings to the anime/manga table is fresh and renewing. Shōnen just seems to be nothing but bad jokes, and violence. nothing relevant or touching. (GOOD MINT, I, the most extreme, angry and violent person on the forums, prefer shōjo to shōnen. there is logics failings)

Re: Cult Of Mint Recruitment Post mk2
Possibly. though by logic one of our existneces here should have weakened the inter-universal (not dimensional) barriers. perhaps you being here means that we may have un-intentionally taken the first step towards bringing our deity to this world
