| Post subject: | Best All-purpose magic type |
Hello everyone, As per the topic title, I'm wondering what would be the best magic to invest in if I want to use it mainly for AoE. So a lot of direct damage, no status effects and such. There so many different types, I presume some of them have advantages versus other elements, like fire versus ice. But what else do the elements differ in? I would imagine humanoids burn better than they blow away (due to wind damage for example), while fire doesn't really stand a chance against wind. Thanks, |

Just go to random.org, roll 1-7 and go with whatever comes out. |

There is difference (like being effective/ineffective against certain enemies), but nothing that would make one type inherently better than another. As far as I know, at least. |

Lightning does neutral damage to everything. Light beats dark beats light. Fire beats ice beats earth beats air beats fire. For that last set the damage is apparently halved if you go the other direction. Unless something is on fire or a giant ice cube I rarely know what element they are and I generally don't care either. |
