I just installed Kamidori according to directions (sys. locale Jap, app disks, patch, different directory).

Everything works fine until I get into the first battle with the slime ball. The battle animations pretty much freezes up and nothing happens. I hear a lot of fighting sounds but the turn clock moves so slowly. And there is no way to continue with the game. Did anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it? My computer is definitely more than capable of handling this game. Thanks.

Remove old codec packs and install newest CCCP?
Battles use MPEG 1 videos, so bad codecs can kill the game here.

Nice, it worked. I knew I had codec problems but I was too lazy to uninstall all of them. Now that I did and reinstalled CCCP, it worked. Thanks!
