 Lag during attack animation
Not sure if this is just me but during all the attack animation there is a slight lag to it before the attack connects> Not sure if this is clear enough but I guess the best way to explain it would be that the flow is very smooth. Everything else is fine but it just during the fight that there is this "lag." Maybe it my computer but I was wondering if everyone experiences this, though most likely not.

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Try update your video codec. In my case ,I installed K-lite codec pack ,and that solve the problem.

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Hmmm, don't really want to mess around with what I have so far. Currently, my set-up allows me to watch Hi10 anime perfectly. Any other suggestions but thank for the advice.

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Well, the videos/animations are mpeg1?
One solution might be to re-encode them to something more supported. I highly doubt the game does the decoding internally...
Something similar to what I did with C;H with the upgraded patch (the old patch had been left more or less scattered in pieces, you'd had to apply most of them separately to make fully patched install...); The original patch had translated movies(hard/soft, mp4) crunched to small size with x264. The original ones were mpeg1, same as here. The game could handle both formats, as long the mpeg1/mp4 were renamed .ngs. Just that the patch movies had a flaw... Newer codec packs/setups failed to play them, crashing the game. Essentially requiring one to install a very old copy of cccp to be able to play in most cases. So what I did was I took the original movies and used megui to re-encode them to xvid while burning the patch provided softsubs into them. (well, could have used h264 but if I were aiming for compatibility might as well go all the way. Downside of course the filesizes got rather big to retain the quality...)

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Sorry, not very knowledgeable in format and whatnot. So I guess there isn't much I can do beside getting K-Lite, like alpha or re-encoding them. Maybe I should just turn off the attack animation. Are they any good later on?

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Tried uninstalling everything and re-install both K-Lite and CCCP and nothing changes. Guess I gotta stick with this laggy animation or disable it. QQ

 Re: Lag during attack animation
It might also be your computer if you're running too many programs?
I sometimes get it when I'm trying to watch a movie and play the game at the same time or whenever I use Spoileral to freeze too many values. >.>;

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Have you tried running it in Admin mode if you have UAC enabled? I know some programs get wonky if not in admin mode.

 Re: Lag during attack animation
IMO it's better to disable attack animation simply to save time. Wish this game had a turbo function like the VBA and snes emus.

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Clicking repeatedly or holding down ctrl skips the current animation, it's not a fast forward button but it's a compromise between having animations and having none at all.
Minor edit, moving to EACH new square is considered a new animation, resulting in a LOT of clicking if you feel the need to do it that way xD;

 Re: Lag during attack animation
I tried closing all non-system programs and running the game in high priority, but still lag happens , guess i'll have to put up with it.

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Does the lag go away in windowed mode? I find that in fullscreen I get occasional lagging issues, but windowed doesn't. Sometimes they're worse than other times, and switching to windowed and back to fullscreen seems to help. On the downside, doing this has caused the game to crash a couple times.

 Re: Lag during attack animation
Actually i'm playing in window mode, tried fullscreen as well, but the lag remains. Everything in the game is smooth, its just that particular animation lag in battle.
