can't... the laptop's dvd drive is busted and too expensive to replace.... i did mention it's too great of a hassle for a reformat, especially reinstalling all the misc programs and games

maybe will be getting a new laptop a few months from now...

and even if i'm the only one on this thread who can't still get his "meister" up and running, it did help a few others who may have similar problems.

i have the same problem when i start the game. can you guys pls show how to fix the rune time error. im a newbie at those thing so can you guys expain it at a simple way btw i use windows 7

sorry I'm on WinXp.... try to read up on prior posts and try to "parallel" the suggestions as befits your system.

technology is rapidly growth nowadays, you can try the usb format without disc and ofcourse faster than disc format.

mayb you will need the c++ runtime library, the game doesn't include the redist itself. you have to install it yourself.
for what i know the c++ redist have 2005, 2008, 2008 sp1, 2010, 2010 sp1. i just dont know which 1 is the game needed.
i have all redist installed in my pc, just try it out.

Similar problem here but i don't get any error message.
The game just refuses to start... Age.exe appears briefly in task manager and then vanishes.

I'm using Win7 ultimate x64 running in japanese locale and CCCP without installing the LAV filters.
Regarding the c++ libraries i was missing the 2005, which i now manually installed, but still no luck.
Before trying with CCCP i had k-lite codecs and same error before and after changing.
After lots of (un)installing cycles I decided to not apply the patches (1st without english then without all of them) and still the same so I further tested to completely uninstall codec pack and video players but nothing changed.
Next step would probably be full OS re-installation but it will have to wait at least till the weekend.

I upgraded my computer recently and this is the first jp game that refuses to run... Everything else is working without problems, any help?

Flame, it might be your antivirus cutting the program. It commonly gets a false positive. Try turning that off. And, of course, applocal or regional settings to Japan.

I don't have any antivirus/antispyware just because of those problems, i find them to do more harm then actual help.
Because of that i'm extra careful to what i download and install and format the OS at least every 6 months so i rarely get any major trouble.

Regarding my situation a full OS re-installation followed by completing the C++ libraries seems to have worked. (A bit extreme solution but it should work for everyone i guess...)
Without codec packs and things of the sort as well as any byproduct of me playing on the registry in the last win7 installation made everything run smoothly.
