currently having problem gathering the substitues.Can anyone list out the materials needed? been stuck on this quest for quite some time

Did you complete quest 66 and is your Wil level 22?

i am on my 2 NG+ went throught yuela and serawi route but still havent finish the quest yet. i just need the list of materials since it didnt list it in the quest list

I looked at a safe left from first run (Serawi route) and quest 66 was completed. If I remember correctly, there were a few items that had to be synthesized, not sure it was that one though. Quests 65-70 are linked, if you fail one, you can't complete the rest, meaning you didn't do quests 67-70 either? But those quests are the prerequisite to get Paraskevas to join, so I must assume you didn't have him either in your party?

yea i din get paraskevas in my party cuz i dont know what are the materials needed for thee substitute. ive read somewhere that u need 50ammonite shell and the key item that need to be synthesized. I also made sure that i did not miss any event in the city and bought any event item that is sold in the city/

You need 4 key items if i remember right

1st you need to buy a book from a merchant for 30k?? something like that
for the 2nd you need to talk to the barkeep and he will get you the Zalme clams
for the 3rd item is a Crustacean Shell
and the 4th item is a Spirit Vessel
one of those items also has to deal with talking to the arena girl where she'll send you a guy she knows


now after that is done i cant say for sure that it'll open the ability to complete the event cause something prevented me from completing it in my 2nd play through - and i have no idea what. But those are the 4 key items you need to at least try to complete it

i have those item in my inventory yet still it did not trigger the event. in my previous route i also have those item but still did not trigger the event. i already collected all of them around chapter 6/7 currently at chapter 8.

geuss i have to start a NG+ again then if there is such a thing as time limit.

I'm currently in chapter 8 (NG+ Serawi route) and I still don't complete Parakesov quest line because of quest 66 ( I have 4 required items and play around very much each chapter). Anybody can tell me exactly when the event of quest 66 trigger ( like who will you talk to after having 4 items, what they make you to do, which chapter did it happen, finding 50 whatever shells is a quest after finishing quest 66 or we need to find 50 shells to trigger quest 66). When Wil read the book he said that he needed energy vitamin ( I just didn't know why I could miss this 2 times)

Had to make an account just to thank you for solving this. The problem i'm sure is just the fact taht i had it on skip previously read text so i really didnt see what i was supposed to do after i read the book -_-.... , i'm on chapter 8 NG+ and i was starting to get to my wits end >_<... thank you again.
